FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to metallurgy, namely to low-activated chromium-manganese austenitic steel used for production of parts in nuclear power engineering, in particular, parts operating in active zones of nuclear reactors on fast neutrons, and parts in thermonuclear power plants. Steel contains chromium, tungsten, vanadium, titanium, phosphorus, sulphur, boron, manganese, carbon, nickel, copper, nitrogen, niobium, molybdenum, cobalt, aluminium, oxygen, tantalum, zirconium, silicon, cerium and iron at the following ratio of elements, wt.%: chrome 10.5–12, manganese 26–30, nickel <0.1, copper <0.1, tungsten 0.8–1.2, vanadium 0.05–0.3, titanium 0.05–0.3, tantalum 0.05–0.3, zirconium 0.05-0.3, niobium <0.01, molybdenum <0.01, cobalt <0.01, aluminium <0.01, silicon 0.3-0.8, sulphur <0.01, phosphorus <0.01, carbon 0.25–0.35, nitrogen <0.1, boron 0.001–0.01, oxygen <0.005, cerium 0.01–0.15, iron – the rest, wherein the ratio of the total content of vanadium, titanium, zirconium and tantalum to the content of carbon is 0.57–4.8.
EFFECT: steel has high stability of austenite, high strength properties and high values of elongation to failure in the temperature range of 20–750 °C.
