FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to traumatology and orthopaedics. Two oblique osteotomies are performed. First one – from the external surface towards the internal one, from front to back on the whole width of the calcaneal bone up to 1/4 of the height of the calcaneal bone. Second is from the upper point of the first osteotomy towards the inner surface from the front to the back to form the proximal and distal bone fragments of the calcaneal bone. Fragments are displaced relative to each other in a horizontal plane to achieve medialization of the distal fragment and elongation of the calcaneal bone.
EFFECT: method provides improved functional outcome of treatment due to graduated medialization of distal fragment with simultaneous effect of calcaneal bone elongation.
