Method of ultrasonic cleaning of liquid from particles includes liquid filling and settling in a supply tank, drainage of sludge and exposure of the liquid to an ultrasonic field, characterized by that the ultrasonic effect is applied to a thin layer of liquid interconnected with the sludge area, wherein the layer thickness and frequency of the ultrasonic field are set depending on the viscosity of the liquid to be cleaned by adjusting the gap between the end surface of the ultrasonic electromechanical transducer and the surface of the bottom of the service tank, the service tank is filled with the liquid to be cleaned and an ultrasonic generator is switched on, which provides power to the electromechanical converter.
