SUBSTANCE: invention relates to systems and methods for assembly of templates and cutting and application of window film and film for protection of paint coating. Method, application software and system for preparing a film for installation on a vehicle include: receiving a vehicle identification and obtaining a template associated with the received vehicle identification using template assembly instructions stored in the memory and executed by the processor; modifying the template using the template modification instructions stored in the memory and executed by the processor; transmitting the template to the cutting machine, wherein the cutting machine is configured to cut the film according to the template; and transmitting installation instructions associated with the template to a mobile device which is configured for use by the installer/user and displays installation instructions adjacent to the vehicle.
EFFECT: disclosed are systems and methods for assembling templates and cutting and applying window films and films for protecting paintwork.
