FIELD: veterinary science.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to veterinary science and can be used in treating hoof ulcers in cows. Orthopaedic trimming and removal of devitalized tissues are performed. Even layer of ointment is applied on the affected area, covered with gauze and bandaged with a veterinary self-fixing elastic bandage. Procedure is repeated 3–4 days later until the ulcerous lesions are completely healed. What is used is an ointment containing the following initial components, taken by weight, %: egocin 20 – 47.6, “АСД-3Ф” – 18.9, vitamin preparation Trivit – 14.7, iodinol – 8.2, dioxidine – 4.2, petroleum jelly – 6.4.
EFFECT: invention makes it possible to reduce time of healing and to increase efficiency of treatment.
