SUBSTANCE: invention relates to methods of tuning automation systems based on a digital twin. Method of setting up automation devices based on a digital twin of an automation system includes the following steps. Database of smart devices is created, which contains information on the HWID of the electronic board, as well as the serial number of the electronic board and the serial number of the automation device, which are assigned during testing. Digital twin of an automation system is created, having a number of automation devices, an arrangement of automation devices, communication of automation devices, a type of firmware, and a control functionality of the smart device. Based on the created digital twin, each automation device is assigned a device identification code containing the HWID and the serial number of the smart device. After creating a digital twin of the automation system, a QR code is generated, which will be used to set up automation devices. To set up automation devices, after their installation on the object, the user, through the interface of the software of the user device, scans the previously generated QR code of the digital twin of the automation system. As a result of scanning the QR code, the user device sends a request to the server to compare serial numbers and HWID of the installed automation devices. On the server, the installation of all automation devices, which were previously created in the digital twin of the automation system, is checked by serial numbers and HWID of automation devices, actual firmware profiles are installed for each automation device.

EFFECT: high accuracy of setting up automation systems based on a pre-created digital twin and determining the number, location of smart devices, their functionality and firmware, as well as providing reduced time for setting up automation systems of a smart home by reading the generated QR code.
