SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the field of driven rotary knives held in a hand. Blade body assembly for a driven rotary knife includes a split blade body and an expanding sleeve assembly. Split blade body comprises an annular blade support section and a mounting section. Mounting section comprises slot and includes first and second body parts. First body part comprises a slot which passes along the axis through the first body part and is made with possibility of movement between positions of blade support and blade replacement. Expanding sleeve assembly passes through the slot and comprises a split sleeve which is configured to vary between the first and second perimeters. Expanding sleeve assembly also includes a fastening element which passes through the split sleeve and, when engaged with the split sleeve, holds the split sleeve with the first perimeter and fixes the first body part in the blade support position.
