FIELD: metal working.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to metal working and can be used in designing prefabricated end faces for machining hard-to-machine materials. End-plunger stepped cutter comprises a housing with tangential replaceable cutting plates with positive axial and radial front angles. Cutting plates are installed in axially symmetric groups relative to the cutter axis on condition of their mutual tangential, axial and angular displacement and provision of allowance division.
EFFECT: higher vibration resistance of cutter and efficiency of machining.
