FIELD: physics.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to audio signal sources encoding systems, which apply a harmonic conversion method for high-frequency reconstruction (HFR) in digital effects processors, such as exciters, which generate harmonic distortion to add brightness to the processed signal, and in devices for stretching the time scale, which increase the duration of the signal while preserving the spectral composition. Disclosed method realizes high-frequency reconstruction (HFR), in which a new component with frequency QΩ+rΩ0 is generated based on existing components with frequencies Ω and Ω+Ω0. In the method, harmonic conversion is performed based on a subband block, where a time block of complex-valued discrete values of subbands is processed by well-known phase modification. Superposition of several modified discrete values gives resultant effect of limiting undesirable combination components, whereby it is possible to use coarser frequency resolution and/or less degree of oversampling. In one embodiment, the invention further comprises a window function suitable for use with a cross-product-amplified subband block-based HFR. Also disclosed is a system and a persistent data medium which implements the disclosed method.
EFFECT: creation of a more efficient implementation of HFR amplified by cross products, in particular creation of a method which reproduces an audio signal with high accuracy under the condition of reduction of computational costs.
