FIELD: non-destructive testing.
SUBSTANCE: disclosed is a method of making a control sample from a composite material for X-ray inspection, which consists in using a part from a composite material, wherein at least one hole is formed in the part, additionally used is at least one shaped insert made of identical composite material as part, grooves are made on the shaped insert at least on one side with equal depth A, width B and distance C between the grooves, a shaped insert is installed in the hole in the part, wherein the shape of the hole in the part corresponds to the shape of the shaped insert with minimization of gaps between the mating surfaces of the hole of the part and the shaped insert, arrangement of reinforcing material in shaped insert corresponds to arrangement of reinforcing material in part, connection of shaped insert and part hole is fixed. Also disclosed is a control sample from a composite material.
EFFECT: group of inventions enables to obtain objective data on the ability to detect a tomographic system based on the determination of partial values of the modulation transfer function in the parts of interest, and also enables to perform direct measurements of grooves on shaped insert during its manufacture, which increases reproducibility of making reference samples.
