SUBSTANCE: invention relates to computer engineering for processing audio data. Technical result is achieved due to steps, at which (a) receiving, by means of a signal shape decoder, a bit stream, including a representation at a final bit rate of a source signal, and wherein the received bit stream further includes one or more auxiliary parameters presented at the final bit rate; (b) decoding, based on the waveform, the finite bit rate representation of the source signal in order to obtain a waveform approximation for the source signal; (c) providing a signal shape approximation for the source signal to a generating model which implements a probability distribution function to obtain a probability distribution for the reconstructed signal for the source signal; and (d) generating a reconstructed signal for the source signal based on the probability distribution.

EFFECT: enabling decoding of audio data based on the shape of audio signals using a generating model.
