FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to otorhinolaryngology and reconstructive surgery. Fat is preliminary sampled from the patient’s abdomen. Fat is centrifuged to obtain a stromal-vascular fraction of adipose tissue. Then the collagen sponge is impregnated with the stromal-vascular fraction. Collagen sponge is placed in the defect of the nasal septum. Thereafter, the defect area with the sponge is fixed with silicone splints on both sides of the nasal septum. Collagen sponge used is a biodegradable collagen haemostatic sponge.
EFFECT: method provides higher clinical effectiveness in repair of a through nasal septum defect, reduced postoperative rehabilitation period, reduced length of hospital stay, reduced risk of disability.
