METHOD FOR SURGICAL TREATMENT OF CHRONIC NASAL SEPTUM DEFECTS IN ADULTS Russian patent published in 2022 - IPC A61B17/24 A61F2/18

Abstract RU 2766723 C2

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medicine, namely to otorhinolaryngology. After the perforation is closed with the use of a flap on the anterior latticed artery on one side, the mobilization of the mucous membrane of the opposite side and the reduction of its edges is performed. Then, under endoscopic control, an “Alloplant” is fixed, that is a fascial limiter for directed tissue regeneration with dimensions no less than 2 mm larger than the length and width of the defect, to the edges of the perforation using nodal sutures. At the next stage, a 0.5 mm plate of “Alloplant” allogenic cartilage is installed in the projection of the perforation between the flap of the mucous membrane on the anterior latticed artery and the “Alloplant” fascial limiter for directed tissue regeneration. The operation is completed by fixing silicone protective plates on both sides with nodular sutures for a period of 3 weeks and nasal tamponade with Merocel hemostatic tampons. Tampons are removed on the 2nd day after surgery.

EFFECT: method makes it possible to increase the reliability of surgical treatment of chronic nasal septum defects, reduce the number of repeated defects due to the closure of the defect from the opposite side, and also ensure a more complete restoration of the functional state of the nasal mucosa.
