FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to metallurgy, particularly, to production of electrotechnical steel substrate. To obtain a substrate from electrical steel, an annealed substrate is obtained, on the surface of which there is a layer of elementary substances, and it is cooled at a rate of at least 30 °C per second. After that, at least one linear size of said annealed substrate is mechanically reduced relative to the initial substrate and annealed at temperature of 600 to 1200 °C. Slurry containing an alloying additive can be deposited on the surface of the initial substrate to form a diffusion-doped layer on the surface of the substrate.
EFFECT: improved magnetic and electrical properties while maintaining the level of mechanical properties.
