FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to metal materials and a metal roll, which can be made from each of said metal materials. Said metal roll comprises metal coils with two or more coils spaced apart by mean distance of less than 350 mcm. In the first embodiment, the metal material includes metal diffusion layer metallurgically bonded to the main layer. Said metal material is characterized by at least two elements (i) - (v): (i) yield strength of 19 kilopounds per square inch, (ii) tensile strength of 42–46 kilopounds per square inch or 57–65 kilopounds per square inch, (iii) relative elongation of 41–44%, (iv) index of strain hardening n at drawing and/or stretching making 0.21–0.32, and (v) value of plastic deformation coefficient 1.8–3.0. In the second embodiment, at least 80% of the grains of the volume of the metal diffusion layer are formed by columnar crystals and at least 80% of the grains of the volume of the main layer are formed by equiaxial grains. In the third embodiment of the metal material, the surface layer contains chromium in concentration of 30–45 wt.% and the metal diffusion layer contains chromium in concentration of 12–45 wt.%.
EFFECT: providing metal material with reduced surface roughness and improved corrosion resistance.
