FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to aluminum alloys which can be used for production of components of heating, ventilation, air conditioning and cooling systems (HVACs) in indoor and outdoor units. Aluminum alloy contains, wt. %: Cu 0.01–0.4; Fe 0.05–0.40; Mg 0.05–0.8; Mn 0.001–2.0; S 0.05–0.25; Ti 0.001–0.20; Zn 0.001–0.20; Cr 0–0.05; Pb 0–0.005; Ca 0–0.03; Cd 0–0.004; Li 0–0.0001; Na 0–0.0005; unavoidable impurities of up to 0.03 each and up to 0.10 in total, the rest being aluminum. Proposed method comprises production of aluminum alloy casting, casting homogenisation, hot rolling, cold rolling of intermediate thickness sheet to produce final thickness sheet and annealing of final thickness sheet.
EFFECT: invention is aimed at increasing durability of HVACs components due to obtaining alloys with high strength and good corrosion resistance.
