FIELD: methods and apparatus for producing or collecting water.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to devices for producing fresh water from water vapours contained in ambient air. Device contains shields (5) fixed along the perimeter and located at an inclination in the direction from pool (1), which is filled with sea water at high tide and emptied at low tide. Pool (1) is equipped in the lower part with weirs (2) with opening and closing doors (3) so that their ends opposite to the fixed ones are in a free state above the fresh water collection tank (6). Above shields (5) on holders (7) at the focal distance there are solar energy concentrators (8). Shields (5) are fixed so that they can be pulled out when the pool is empty at low tide and located at angle of 100° to 150° in relation to vertical plane with rigid fixation and pushing in until contact with external side surface of pool (1) when it is filled during high tide.

EFFECT: reduced area occupied by shields during high tide.
