FIELD: methods and apparatus for producing or collecting water.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to production of fresh water from water vapours contained in ambient air. Device comprises shields (5) fixed along external side surface of pool (1) filled with sea water at high tide and emptied at low tide. Pool (1) is equipped in the lower part with weirs (2) with opening and closing doors (3). Ends of shields (5), opposite to fixed ones, are in free state above reservoir for collection of fresh water (6). Pool is fenced along the entire side and upper surface with fine-mesh structure (7), spaced from the side and upper surface of pool (1) at distance of 1 to 1.5 meters, the structure is secured on supports (8) composed of pillars with height exceeding that of the pool and arranged along its perimeter.

EFFECT: eliminating the negative effect of the device during its operation on the state of coastal flora and fauna.
