SUBSTANCE: invention relates to medical biotechnology and virology. Disclosed is a set of oligonucleotide primers for detecting DNA of orthopoxviruses, which contain 5 primers: external – O-F3 and O-B3, internal O-FIP and O-BIP, loop primer – O-LF, having the following nucleotide sequences SEQ ID NO: 1–5 respectively.
EFFECT: invention enables using genus-specific primers to detect orthopoxviruses in nucleic acid samples recovered from the contents of skin lesions, or smear samples, or whole venous blood (EDTA) samples, or autopsies of human lungs, liver and spleen during diagnostic and epidemiological studies by isothermal amplification.
