FIELD: processing and recycling of wastes.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a method for reclamation of areas disturbed by mining wastes and contaminated with toxic substances, namely: compounds of heavy metals. Technical problem to be solved by the invention is to reduce the negative impact of mineral processing wastes on environmental objects and providing its highly effective protection against technogenic pollution caused by toxic wastes of processing of tin ore, stored in tailing dump, by obtaining fast-growing biomass of ecosystems using biopreparations. Set task is achieved by the fact that the compost used is mixed bark compost obtained from spruce, larch and birch bark, with its introduction onto the surface of toxic wastes in amount of 30% of the total weight, and after laying, mixing is carried out by disking to improve rooting and survival conditions of plants treated with solutions of biopreparations, which provides high biological activity of the substrate. According to the method, a layer of mixed bark compost laid on the surface of a tailing dump with toxic wastes from processing mineral raw materials is disclosed to depth of 5–10 cm and its mixing and sowing of seeds of leguminous-cereal grass mixture, as well as planting of seedlings of tree-shrub vegetation, which according to the invention are pre-soaked in solution of "Rostivin" 2.5%, and during planting they are poured with a solution of "Amber acid" 0.2 g/l. In this regard, heavy metal compounds are bound by carbon of the organic substance and their main amount is immobilized to non-hazardous limits. Area for reclamation of toxic wastes stored in the tailing dump is delineated along the perimeter with water-permeable boards and drainage grooves to accelerate the discharge of storm water.
EFFECT: due to use of biopreparations, a root layer is successfully formed and biomass of ecosystems is increased.
