METHOD FOR ASSESSING DEGREE OF PIGMENTATION OF TRABECULA IN PATIENTS WITH PRIMARY OPEN-ANGLE GLAUCOMA Russian patent published in 2024 - IPC A61B3/117

Abstract RU 2823880 C1

FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to ophthalmology, and can be used for evaluation of trabecular pigmentation degree in patients with primary open-angle glaucoma. Photographic recording of the anterior chamber angle is performed in the darkened room. Obtained photographic images are analysed and a colorimetric assessment of the degree of pigmentation of the angle of the anterior chamber is carried out using a Pixelmator Pro graphic editor. A percentage indicator of the degree of pigmentation of the trabecula is obtained using the HSL (Hue, Saturation, Lightness) colour model. If the percentage of the degree of pigmentation of the trabecula varies from 92 to 74%, the initial pigmentation is determined. If the percentage of the degree of pigmentation of trabecula is 74 to 56%, moderate pigmentation is determined. If the percentage of the degree of pigmentation of the trabecula varies from 56 to 38%, pronounced pigmentation is determined. If the percentage of the degree of pigmentation of trabecula is 38 to 20%, a very pronounced pigmentation is determined.

EFFECT: method provides higher accuracy and objectivity of the method for assessing photothermolysis of pigment granules in trabecular cells by assessing the degree of pigmentation.
