FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to ophthalmology, and can be used for treating patients with initial and advanced stages of primary open-angle glaucoma. Before the laser treatment, the patients with the initial and advanced stages of primary open-angle glaucoma undergo optical coherence tomography of the anterior segment of the eye, as a result of which the location of the collector tubules relative to the trabecula is determined. Collector tubules are marked on the conjunctiva in the perilimbal zone using a medical felt-tip pen. Gonioscopic lens is placed on the patient’s eye so that its mirror is placed on the opposite side relative to the marked conjunctiva. For laser treatment, a slit-lamp slit of the laser is placed so that it passes through the centre of the mirror of the gonioscopic lens, the centre of the pupil, aligning it with the markings on the conjunctiva, into the angle of the anterior chamber. Laser light beam is projected onto the trabecula zone at the location of one of the collector ducts. Location of the light slit on the trabecula is used to determine the projection of the collector duct. Laser trabeculostomy is successively performed and trabeculostomas are formed in a projection of each of the collector tubules in the anterior one-third of the trabecula. Similarly, trabeculostomas are formed according to marking of collector tubules on conjunctiva, made according to optical coherence tomography in anterior one-third of trabecula.
EFFECT: invention provides higher efficiency of laser treatment due to accuracy of determination of trabeculostoma formation sites.
