FIELD: machine building.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to aircraft engineering and rocketry, particularly, to production of spark plugs for aircraft engines. Disclosed is a ferroceramic spark plug for aircraft engines, which consists of a cylindrical shaped ferroelectric discharge capacitor placed in a stainless steel housing, a central rod electrode and an external annular electrode, both electrodes are electrically connected to the corresponding capacitor plates, which have an angular profile to the peripheral side surface of the capacitor, which locally reduces the field intensity and blocks the occurrence of parasitic discharges. Working surface of the plug is a zone of the bottom of the ferroelectric capacitor between two concentrically located electrodes, where plasma-forming electric discharges are formed by supplying high pulse voltage of up to 10 kV.
EFFECT: creation a spark plug for aircraft engines of increased reliability and a wider range of external pressures.
