FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to processing of by-products obtained during production of non-ferrous metals, in particular to use of slag in construction industry. Slag used contains, in terms of dry substance and when expressing the presence of metal through the aggregate value for metal present in the form of metal in elementary form, and metal present in oxidized state, wt.%: iron: at least 7 and not more than 49, copper: not more than 1.3, silicon dioxide: at least 24 and not more than 44, calcium oxide: at least 1.0 and not more than 20, zinc: at least 0.10 and not more than 1.50, magnesium oxide: at least 0.10 and not more than 2.5 and lead not more than 0.100. Slag is used as an ingredient of a composition selected from concrete or cement, wherein said ingredient is selected from a group consisting of a filler or aggregate, a binding substance and combinations thereof.
EFFECT: said slag is characterized by an average particle diameter of at least 10 mcm and not more than 5,0 mm, and an amorphous substance content of at least 30 wt.%, according to determination using X-ray diffraction analysis.
