FIELD: metallurgy.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to the production of non-ferrous metals, in particular tin (Sn) and lead (Pb), possibly in combination with the production of copper (Cu), for example, from secondary raw materials, by pyrometallurgy. Rough solder contains, by wt. %: 9.5-69 of tin and at least 25 of lead, at least 80 of tin and lead together, 0.08-12 of copper, 0.15-7 of antimony, 0.012-1.5 of bismuth, 0.010-1.1 of zinc, no more than 3 of arsenic, no more than 2.8 of nickel, no more than 0.7 of zinc, no more than 7.5 of iron and no more than 0.5 of aluminum. A liquid bath of metal and slag is obtained in a furnace, a reducing agent is introduced into the furnace to reduce at least part of tin and/or lead in the oxidized valence state. An energy source containing combustible material and metal more prone to oxidation than Sn and Pb can be introduced into the furnace to oxidize it in the energy source, when air and/or oxygen are injected into the furnace. The resulting rough solder is suitable as raw material for vacuum distillation with separation of lead from tin.
EFFECT: method for obtaining solder can be carried out on simple technological equipment that is capable of processing finely ground raw materials without creating operational or waste disposal-related problems.
