FIELD: wireless communication equipment.
SUBSTANCE: method of updating a time offset value for a non-terrestrial network (NTN) is implemented by a base station and involves determining that an update condition is met. NTN time shift value is updated when the following conditions are met: receiving an update request requesting an update of a time offset value transmitted by a user equipment (UE); number of UE devices transmitting a request to update a time offset value, reaches a given number; ratio of the number of UE devices transmitting the request for updating the time offset value to the total number of UE devices in the NTN cell reaches a predetermined value; current time reaches a predetermined update time; current orbit of the NTN satellite is an orbit for which an update of the time offset value is required; or the current orbital position of the NTN satellite is a predetermined update position.
EFFECT: improved quality of non-terrestrial network (NTN) communication by updating the time offset value for NTN.
