FIELD: physics; radio engineering.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to engineering physics, radio engineering and is intended to form a low-frequency rotating magnetic field in space outside the magnetic system. Device can be used to create navigation systems in which an alternating rotating magnetic field is used as a navigation field. In the disclosed device, rotation of the permanent magnet with the required frequency is carried out by supplying current pulses with a given duration, repetition period and amplitude to the excitation coils located along the rotation trajectory of the permanent magnet and fixed on the platform. At that, as a result of interaction of magnetic fields of the permanent magnet and excitation coils, a repulsive force arises from the side of excitation coils, which acts on the ends of the permanent magnet. This causes rotation of the permanent magnet fixed on the axis of rotation, which passes through the centre of mass and is perpendicular to the generatrix of the cylinder. As a result, a rotating magnetic field with a frequency equal to the rotation frequency of the permanent magnet is created in space.
EFFECT: high stability in time of characteristics of the generated rotating magnetic navigation field in space.
