SUBSTANCE: invention relates to continuous metal casting plant. More specifically, the present invention relates to a method for uniform distribution of liquid steel flow in a mould and to a system for continuous casting of liquid steel. According to the method for uniform distribution of liquid steel flow in the mould, steel is fed into mould (12) from the pouring device through a protective cup which opens below the steel level in the mould. Method includes the following stages: a) obtaining a set of flow characteristics in a mould, b) comparing the flow characteristics obtained at the previous step with a given model and determining the adjustment actions to be taken for uniform distribution of the flow, and c) adjusting the flow.

EFFECT: enabling detection of deviations that violate liquid steel flow, and restoration of flow symmetry.
