SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to a device and a method for determining liquid characteristics. Device includes a visible light-emitting LED diode array, an optical system, and a microcontroller. In the device, a visible light-emitting LED diode array emits light and generates a light beam for irradiating an object. In addition, in the device, the optimum system includes a grating for receiving light emitted from an object through a collimator and distributing light on wavelengths, a focusing lens and a linear image sensor located in the focal plane of the focusing lens for converting light from the array and focusing it with the focusing lens into electrical signals. Microcontroller is connected to the sensor and processes electrical signals and transmits data for processing.
EFFECT: improved design for non-invasive determination of liquid characteristics.
