FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to endoscopy, gastroenterology and coloproctology, and can be used for differential diagnosis of ulcerative colitis (UC) and Crohn's disease (CD) in the acute stage. Method involves endoscopic examination using a narrow spectrum with detection of pathognomonic signs of the disease. If observing such signs as diffuse absence of visualization of capillaries of mucous layer and venous network of submucosal layer; presence of erosions and ulcerative defects of the mucous layer, merging with each other, without a visible capillary and venous pattern around erosions and ulcerative defects; detection of separate capillary foci, merging with each other and surrounded by dimple pattern, diagnosing UC. If observing such signs as focal absence of visualization of capillaries of mucous layer and venous network of submucosal layer; presence of erosions and ulcerative defects on a portion of the mucous membrane with a preserved capillary and venous pattern around the defects; local nature of the lesion, CD is diagnosed.
EFFECT: method provides higher accuracy and efficiency of differential diagnosis of ulcerative colitis and Crohn's disease in the acute stage by identifying the evaluation of objective and specific for each of the diseases of narrow-spectrum pathognomonic signs.
