FIELD: machine building.

SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to a device for moving processed parts and a method for moving pairs of processed parts, for example, slabs of stone material, having a rough surface on one side and a treated surface on the opposite side. Device comprises part support plane (5) configured to support one or more machined parts (P), first gripping device (30) and second gripping device (40), defining, respectively, first and second planes (32, 42) of gripping of processed part (P). Method comprises providing a plurality of machined parts (P), laid with a rough surface (F1) on support plane (5) for part, so that machined surface (F2) faces from support plane (5) for part, or vice versa, laid with processed surface (F2) on support plane (5) for part, so that rough surface (F1) faces from support plane (5) for part. Method includes gripping from support plane (5) for part of first part (P1) from pair of processed parts (P) using one of first gripping device (30) and second gripping device (40), holding machined surface (F2) or rough surface (F1) of the first part (P1) of the pair of machined parts (P) facing the gripping device used to grip the first part (P1). First part (P1) is moved to the part storage area (6) by means of the first or the second gripping device. First part (P1) is released in part storage area (6), leaving visible surface (F2) or rough surface (F1). Method includes gripping from support plane (5) for part of second part (P2) by one of first gripping device (30) and second gripping device (40), holding machined surface (F2) or rough surface (F1) of second part (P2) facing the gripping device used to grip second part (P2).

EFFECT: higher efficiency of laying parts.
