FIELD: fuel.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to production of a hydrogen fuel, namely, to production of a fuel enriched with hydrogen of a methane-containing hydrocarbon gas, so-called methane-hydrogen fuel (MHF) with a concentration of hydrogen in the gas of (20 to 30) vol.% A non-equilibrium low-temperature plasma of an ultra high frequency (UHF) discharge of the atmospheric pressure, wherein the gas molecules are dissociated into hydrogen and carbon, is used in the apparatus for producing MHF from a methane-containing hydrocarbon gas, in particular natural gas. The apparatus for producing a methane-hydrogen fuel from hydrocarbon gas comprises a UHF emission source connected with a flow reactor including a plasma torch with a discharge chamber, a natural gas source, units for removal of the methane-hydrogen mixture and carbon from the reactor, and a unit for purification of the methane-hydrogen mixture from carbon. The novel characteristic of the apparatus is the fact that it additionally includes a gas flow control unit, a UHF emission power control unit, a unit for controlling the concentration of hydrogen in the methane-hydrogen mixture, made in the form of a gas analyser and a controlled nozzle installed in the wall of the discharge chamber, and an automated control system connected with the gas flow control unit, the UHF emission power control unit and the unit for controlling the concentration of hydrogen in the methane-hydrogen mixture.
EFFECT: technical result is an increase in the productivity and efficiency of the apparatus due to creation of a turbulent flow in the gas discharge area, creation of a simple, environmentally sustainable and efficient apparatus for producing methane-hydrogen fuel, reduction in the expenses for production of the fuel.
