FIELD: measuring.
SUBSTANCE: method and device for operation of flow meter (5) are provided. Process medium is placed in flow meter (5). Temperature of fluid medium in supercritical state is measured. Fluid density is measured. Velocity of sound (VoS) for the fluid is calculated based on the measured temperature and density. Mass flow rate error is calculated and the corrected mass flow rate of the fluid is calculated.
EFFECT: more accurate measurement of flow rate in a wide range of operating conditions of the fluid medium, elimination of the need for additional equipment and measurement of external pressure.
