SUBSTANCE: invention relates to a biodegradable and/or compostable capsule which opens independently by increasing pressure inside the capsule. Compostable capsule (1) for preparation of infusions or soluble beverages comprises reservoir (2), in which inner volume (V) is defined, in which there is at least one substance (S) to be infused or dissolved. Reservoir (2) has bottom (3) with outlet hole (31) for beverage, inlet hole (21) closed by cover (6), and inner base (33). Capsule additionally comprises at least partially flexible sealing disc (5) tightly fixed on base (33) of reservoir (2) to ensure sealing of inner volume (V) together with cover (6). Capsule is characterized by that reservoir (2), cover (6) and sealing disc (5) are made of a compostable material, and the opening for the beverage outflow is determined by at least partial deformation of sealing disc (5), wherein the deformation leads to a breach of the volume of the volume (V).

EFFECT: creation of biodegradable and/or compostable capsule, which opens independently at increase of internal pressure and is able to withstand mechanical and thermal loads to which it is subjected during use.
