SUBSTANCE: invention relates to preservation of propagation material. Method of storing sperm of honey bees drones in a sterile glass capillary containing saline and sperm, comprises collecting sperm, sperm is separated by air plug from physiological solution on both sides of capillary, and stored at 3 °C without dilution and treatment against antimicrobial contamination.
EFFECT: proposed method of honey bee sperm storage provides preservation of reproduction material with high degree of viability at positive temperatures in the absence of agents for antibacterial contamination and dilution of sperm allows prolonging the calendar period of obtaining fetal queen bees.
