FIELD: agriculture.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to agriculture, beekeeping and can be used in production conditions on apiaries of various directions. Method of immobilizing Apis mellifera L. honey bees consists in the fact that before selection bees are fumigated with smoke, placed in a cage from a metal mesh and introduced into a state of cold stupor with an air flow with temperature of +4...+6°C to complete immobilisation.
EFFECT: invention considerably speeds up and facilitates the process of queen cells and small hives filling with bees, reduces malice of bees in relation to the beekeeper and excludes their hostility to queens added to them.
