FIELD: medicine.
SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to colorectal surgery, and can be used for treating suppurative pilonidal cyst of coccyx. Under local anaesthesia, after opening of a suppurative focus on a lower edge, a bulbous probe is used to inspect an abscess cavity with removal of a counteropening in the upper point, a Folkmann spoon is used to process and remove the cyst content. Cavity is washed with 3% hydrogen peroxide, 10% betadine. Device for active vacuum drainage is installed. Concentration of ferritin in discharge from drainage is determined, ultrasonic control of cavity dimensions is performed. If the ferritin concentration drops below 563 ng/ml in the drainage discharge, the ultrasound cavity diameter decreases to 1 cm, the cavity is coagulated with a Lakhta-Milon laser in a continuous mode at wavelength 1470 nm, power 9 Wt, at rate of 1 mm/s.
EFFECT: method provides reducing the length of treatment, preventing recurrences of the disease and postoperative complications and improved cosmetic results due to the fact that the use of the irrigation drainage reduces the cyst cavity, increasing the area of contact of tissues with the working surface of the laser, which makes it possible to radically carry out the procedure of laser ablation of the cavity without repeated interventions, and the study of the ferritin concentration in the exudate allows high-accuracy monitoring of the course of the wound process.
