SUBSTANCE: invention relates to biotechnology, particularly to a method for genotyping the polymorphic locus rs7986407 (A>G) of the FOXO1 gene in a human. Said method is carried out by real-time PCR, wherein the method involves identifying allelic variants of rs7986407 (A>G) of the FOXO1 gene using forward and reverse primers rs7986407, characterized by sequences SEQ ID NO: 1 and SEQ ID NO: 2, respectively, as well as rs7986407-A-allele-specific and rs7986407-G-allele-specific fluorescent-labelled probes with sequences SEQ ID NO: 3 and SEQ ID NO: 4, respectively.
EFFECT: invention provides an easy-to-implement and cost-effective method of genotyping single-nucleotide polymorphism rs7986407 (A>G) localized in a position chr13:40605661 (GRCh38.p14) oh the FOXO1 (Gene ID: 2308) gene by real-time polymerase chain reaction.
