FIELD: chemical or physical processes.
SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to a system for producing methanol from natural gas. This system includes: a system for combined conversion of natural gas, a system for synthesis and distillation of methanol, as well as a system for condensation purification of process condensates. At that, natural gas combined conversion system includes natural gas compression subsystem, natural gas hydrodesulphurization subsystem, preliminary converter, steam converter, self-heating converter, waste gas recuperation and cooling system, as well as bypass subsystem. Methanol synthesis and distillation system is used for methanol synthesis from synthesis gas and its further purification and processing. System for condensation treatment of process condensates is used for separation and cooling of process condensates, obtained from a system for combined conversion of natural gas and a system for synthesis and distillation of methanol, as well as for the formed waste water supply to the natural gas steam make-up system and the waste water main part into the secondary steam outlet, part of which is supplied to the waste heat recovery system, and the rest is removed and sent to an external system. Oxygen required for the system of combined conversion of natural gas is supplied from external air separation plants, wherein after hydrodesulphurization natural gas is mixed with process steam so that molar ratio of water to carbon at the inlet of preliminary conversion unit is from 1 to 2. Before entering the steam-gas mixture into the converter, it is heated to 400–500 °C, after preliminary conversion natural gas is mixed with process steam before supply to steam converter, so that molar ratio of water to carbon in liquid supplied to steam converter is from 1.5 to 2.5. Process gas after leaving the steam converter enters the autothermal conversion unit, and the autothermal conversion unit supplies oxygen through the converter burner and controls the temperature at the outlet of furnace below 1,050 °C, and the content of methane at the outlet (in terms of dry substance) is below 2 mol.%.
EFFECT: higher efficiency of integrated use of energy, reduced investment and operating costs by providing a low-cost system for production of methanol from natural gas with water saving.
