FIELD: medicine.

SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to endocrinology, andrology, and can be used for prediction of risk of androgen deficiency state in adolescents by laboratory analysis of blood. Adolescent’s blood serum is analysed for thyroid-stimulating hormone, total testosterone and free testosterone concentrations. Integral index of the general risk of androgen deficiency is calculated, which is equal to the ratio of total testosterone to free testosterone. If the integral value is less than 2, the prognosis is favourable. If the integral value is 2 and more, a high general risk of androgen deficiency is predicted in adolescents with a thyrotropic hormone level of 4.0 mcU/l and higher.

EFFECT: method enables to use an accessible, simplified technique, since no special equipment is required, as well as increasing the accuracy of prediction of the general risk of androgen deficiency state in adolescents by using a quantitative prediction criterion based on the results of laboratory analysis of blood, determination of the level of thyroid-stimulating hormone, total testosterone, free testosterone in the blood serum of adolescents and subsequent calculation of the integral index of the general risk of androgen deficiency in adolescents.
