FIELD: various technological processes.
SUBSTANCE: invention relates to concentration of aqueous solutions and can be used in food, chemical and related industries to increase concentration of solutions by removing water – by freezing. Cryoconcentrator consists of a cylindrical working container with a conical bottom with a drain hole with a branch pipe, a jacket inside which an intermediate coolant circulates, a heat-insulated cover with a filling hole, a mixing device. Stirring device is located along the central axis of the working container and consists of a rod immersed in the working container, at the end of which there is a horizontal perforated disk with diameter equal to D/3, where D is the inner diameter of the working container. Disc perforation is made in the form of holes with diameter of 3 mm, uniformly distributed along concentric circles of the disc so often that the free cross-section of disc is 16.5%. On the upper and lower sides the disc has a flanging along the periphery in the form of a tape with width of 15 mm. Stirring device is actuated by a drive located on the cover and consisting of an electric motor and a crank gear.
EFFECT: higher efficiency of cryoconcentrator operation due to reduced loss of target components with ice due to device design.
