Method involves collecting and evaluating anamnesis data, including patient's age, vein thrombosis and/or pulmonary thromboembolism, diagnosed thrombophilia, staying in the intensive care unit or ward, determining D-dimer, body weight index. Derived points are summed up, and the risk of developing venous thromboembolic complications is assessed.

EFFECT: invention enables to objectively and accurately assess the risks of developing the disease and select the correct anticoagulant therapy approach.
