SUBSTANCE: group of inventions can be used to replace an orbital spherical implant wrapped with a mesh lavsan endoprosthesis. If the implant is replaced with an implant of a smaller diameter, the conjunctiva and the anterior wall of the fibrous capsule are dissected. Further, the implant is removed from the fibrous capsule, and a new smaller-diameter implant wrapped in a mesh lavsan endoprosthesis is immersed in the capsule. Then a continuous upholstery suture of non-absorbable sutures is applied on it, followed by layer-by-layer closure of the fibrous capsule and conjunctiva with the absorbable sutures of vicryl. If the implant is replaced with a larger-diameter implant, the conjunctiva and the anterior wall of the fibrous capsule are dissected. Further, the implant is removed from the fibrous capsule; the capsule is incised in four oblique meridians at equal angular distance from each other. A new larger-diameter implant wrapped in a mesh lavsan endoprosthesis is immersed in a capsule. Then a continuous upholstery suture of non-absorbable sutures is applied on it, followed by layer-by-layer closure of the fibrous capsule and conjunctiva with the absorbable sutures of vicryl.

EFFECT: group of inventions provides the consistency of the locomotor stump, the absence of traumatization of the rectus muscles during the surgical intervention, achieving a satisfactory cosmetic result when replacing implants with larger and smaller diameters.
