FIELD: ships and other floating facilities.
SUBSTANCE: invention is intended for adjustment of ship course control. Method includes selection of model determining dependence of angular velocity of ship circulation, which is an output signal, on angle of rudder blade deflection, which is an input signal. Model is recorded in state space in discrete time and in form of ARMAX model, dependence of model parameters on coefficients of polynomials of ARMAX model, values of the rudder blade position and angular velocity of the ship circulation are measured with a sampling step when performing the model parameters identification manoeuvre on the course, the ship model parameters on the course are calculated for each value of the angular velocity of circulation and the deflection angle, wherein at each sampling step, the square of the error between the estimate of the angular velocity from the ARMAX model and the measured output value of the angular velocity of the vessel circulation is minimized, time sections are determined, where estimates of ship model parameters asymptotically approach or fluctuate along average values, and model parameters are calculated as weighted average values of calculated model parameters for each discretization step.
EFFECT: provision of parameters for adjustment of ship control system on course.
