FIELD: laser engineering.

SUBSTANCE: used in radio-photonic and optical communication systems. The integral tunable emitter of an optical vortex beam contains a direct optical waveguide, a microring resonator with a radius of 30 μm with blind cylindrical holes that provide a periodic change in the refractive index and excitation of whispering gallery waves that transfer orbital angular momentum, and a built-in semiconductor diode, as well as control electrodes. The direct optical waveguide is located in close proximity to the microring resonator in such a way that part of the light energy passes into it.

EFFECT: reducing the dimensions of the integral emitter of the optical vortex beam, the possibility of adjusting the order or wavelength of the emitter.
