SUBSTANCE: invention refers to medicine, namely to maxillofacial surgery. Oral cavity is treated with a water antiseptic solution. Oral mucosa is incised within a maxillary lingual groove and a sublingual ridge in a projection of an infiltrate. Layers of the upper floor of the oral cavity are bluntly moved apart by means of a clamp. Maxillary-hyoid muscle is dissected along a maxillary-hyoid line. Layers of the lower floor of the oral cavity are bluntly moved apart. Submandibular and submental spaces are inspected. Physiological dispenser is used to perform bone lavage on the inner surface of the lower jaw. Drainage is performed with tubular and glove drains of the lower floor of the oral cavity.

EFFECT: method enables to preserve the aesthetics and functional state of the bottom of the oral cavity and the submandibular region during the surgical treatment of phlegmon of the lower floor of the oral cavity, reducing the length of hospital stay and eliminating the need for secondary surgical treatment, promotes formation of granulations that compensate for the formed defect.
