FIELD: machine building.

SUBSTANCE: invention relates to sawing equipment, in particular to chain saws. Saw chain comprises connecting links and drive links pivotally connected to each other by means of rivet bodies around rivet body axes. Bodies of rivets pass through at least one rivet hole of at least one connecting link and rivet hole of driving link. At least one rivet body has a recess on at least one end surface, having a recess edge and a recess bottom. Distance from the edge of the recess to the central plane of the saw chain increases with increasing radial distance to the axis of the rivet body. Recess edge surrounds the recess bottom. Distance from the bottom of the recess to the central plane of the saw chain does not increase with increase in the radial distance to the axis of the rivet body at any point of the bottom of the recess. Maximum distance from bottom of recess to rivet body axis corresponds to 50% to 100% of rivet body half diameter. In the saw chain, the rivet body is made as a solid body, and the rivet body has the first end surface and the second end surface having different shape.

EFFECT: longer life of saw chain.
