FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: present invention relates to a hydrogenation catalyst, more specifically to a petroleum product hydrogenation catalyst. Described is a hydrogenation catalyst containing a hydrogenation catalyst support and an active hydrogenation component, where said active hydrogenation component contains a group VIB metal sulphide and a group VIII metal compound, and a molar ratio of particles of said group VIII metal interacting with said group VIB metal, to total amount of said metal of group VIII is 60-100%, where said interaction is selected from adjoining, layering, coating, application, adhesion, mixing, inclusions, wrapping or any combination thereof. Method of producing said hydrogenation catalyst involves the following steps: (1) impregnating the hydrogenation catalyst support with an impregnating solution containing a group VIB metal, and then drying and sulphurisation to obtain a sulphurised material; and (2) impregnating the sulphurised material with an impregnation solution containing a Group VIII metal, and optionally subsequent drying and/or calcination to obtain a hydrogenation catalyst. Also described is a method for hydrogenation of oil product, which includes the following stages: sulphurisation of said hydrogenation catalyst or a hydrogenation catalyst prepared in accordance with said production method to obtain a sulphurised hydrogenation catalyst; and hydrogenation of the oil product in the presence of a hydrogenation catalyst or a sulphurised hydrogenation catalyst.
EFFECT: obtaining a hydrogenation catalyst having a higher degree of sulphurisation of the active metal and a greater number of type II active centres, which can be used in the process of hydrogenation of oil products, such as distillate fuel and residual oil.
