FIELD: chemistry.
SUBSTANCE: group of inventions relates to production of pseudo-boehmite, aluminium oxide and hydrogenation catalyst. Obtaining pseudo-boehmite involves contacting an alkaline aluminium source, a cation-exchange resin and an organic acid source in the presence of water to obtain a mixed liquid and separation of mixed liquids to produce pseudo-boehmite. Obtained pseudo-boehmite contains a dry substance of 55–85 wt.% and an ester group of phosphoric acid, wherein the sodium oxide content thereof is not more than 0.5 wt.%, and content of phosphorus, in terms of phosphorus pentoxide, is 1.2–5.7 wt.% relative to 100 wt.% of total weight of pseudo-boehmite.
EFFECT: pseudo-boehmite is calcined to obtain aluminium oxide, moulded, calcined to obtain a substrate and a catalytically active component is loaded onto said substrate to obtain a catalyst.
