FIELD: medicine; training means.

SUBSTANCE: simulator for training to stop external bleeding of injured extremities comprises a wound simulator in a body, a bleeding simulator connected to it in the form of a leak-proof blood reservoir with a manual blood pump system and a tourniquet. Body of the wound simulator has a removable rectangular shape with a hole simulating a wound in the centre. Sections of Velcro tape are sewn onto the body, and a transparent short tube is mounted in the hole of the wound simulator for connection with the bleeding simulator and brought out through the hole in the wound simulator. Body of the wound simulator is made in the form of a pocket of cotton fabric with rectangular side inserts along its long sides and a from the shorter side there is a lapel – valve that folds down from top to bottom. Pieces of Velcro tape are sewn on the lower part of the lapel and on the upper part of the surface of the body; inside the body there is a commensurate silicone plate simulating a wound, and a torn recess is placed in the centre of the silicone plate. On the back side of the body in the upper part parallel to the short sides, with the possibility of passing through a cord tape, there is a rectangular strip sewn with width of 2.5 cm with Velcro tape attached to one end from above, and to the other – from below for connection when attaching the body to the extremity. In the upper part of the lapel-valve above the pocket cavity there is a round hole for outputting the transparent tube from the silicone plate and connecting it to the bleeding simulator. Blood reservoir is made in the form of a polyethylene bag of rectangular shape with a drain valve and a valve for supply of a blood simulating liquid by means of a manual blood pump; one flat side of the reservoir is marked with divisions for indicating the volume of the blood simulating liquid. Silicone tube with a clamp is attached to the reservoir; the diameter of the silicone tube with the clamp is larger than the diameter of the transparent tube. Polyethylene bag is equipped with elastic bands with a number of short longitudinal holes fixed on its two short sides, and an element for connecting the ends of the elastic band to each other when the bag is fixed on a human extremity.

EFFECT: simplification and cheapening of the simulator.
